Award Background
Established in 2010 and presented by IJTAHC, the Egon Jonsson Award is given to the author(s) of the most outstanding paper published in the journal in the preceding year.
The Award is named after Dr. Egon Jonsson, IJTAHC’s Editor-in-Chief from its founding in 1985 until 2010.
The Award is given annually, and a certificate is presented at the Annual Meeting of the Society.

- IJTAHC provides the list of nominated papers to HTAi
- The Scientific Development and Capacity Building (SDCB) Committee evaluates the nominated paper and selects that year’s winning paper
- A $1000 (CAD) monetary award is given to the winning author(s)
