HTAi ANNUAL MEETINGS
The first HTAi Annual Meeting was held in 2003 in Canmore, Alberta, Canada, and they’ve taken place every year since. Held each year in May, June or July, HTAi’s Annual Meetings are key international gatherings for sharing the latest research, advancing discussions in policy and methods, and building global networks around HTA.
Annual Meetings bring together over 1,000 researchers, policymakers, industry, academia, health service providers, agencies and patients/consumers from around the world. They provide an arena for these groups to share information and best practices, from cutting-edge technologies to system development in order to advance healthcare.
Every HTAi Annual Meeting provides unique opportunities to forge new partnerships that maximise the collective impact of the HTA community, allowing likeminded and experienced colleagues to share best practices and learn from the best and brightest minds in HTA under one roof.
How are Annual Meetings organized?
HTAi’s Annual Meetings are run by local host organizations, supported by an International Scientific Program Committee and the HTAi Annual Meeting Committee. Host organizations are selected through a competitive bidding process (for more information, contact the HTAi Secretariat).
HTAi meetings are governed by official Annual Meeting Guidelines, approved by the Board of Directors. The Guidelines provide direction on the roles and responsibilities of the local host organisation, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), the International Scientific Program Committee (ISPC), the Annual Meeting Committee (AMC) as well as advice on setting the meeting program, evaluation, and the role of the HTAi Secretariat in planning Annual Meetings.
With three plenary sessions that all support the conference’s overarching theme of Strengthening the Evidence-to-Action Connection, the HTAi 2018 Annual Meeting will be a must-attend event for those in the global HTA community to consider and debate.
