Upper Middle-Income, Low Income and Lower Middle-Income Countries are based on the World Bank standards.

Eligibility for the Patient/Consumer Volunteer membership category is restricted to individuals who encounter HTA through their roles as patients, caregivers, or consumers, and who do not encounter HTA through paid employment. New members in this category are asked to submit a brief statement describing their involvement with HTA.

Organizational members can have up to ten (10) organizational representatives registered under one organizational membership, with the following exceptions:

  • Organizational members from Low and Middle-Income Countries can designate an unlimited number of Organizational Representatives.
  • Universities with an Organizational membership can register an unlimited number of ‘Student-Organizational Representatives’, in addition to their standard ten (10) Organizational Representatives. All Students require proof of enrollment in the form of a Student ID. 

Each organization may appoint one representative to vote on behalf of the organizational membership. The voting representative must be one of the ten organizational representatives included in the organizational membership.

Designated voters will be asked to submit votes throughout the year for events such as the Annual General Meeting or the Board Election.
