HTAi recently partnered with International Decision Support Initiative (iDSI) to host a conference in Accra, Ghana (26-27 September, 2018). The theme of the 2 day conference was #SettingPrioritiesFairly.
The event, which was formally endorsed by Ghana’s Minister for Health Mr Kwaku Agyemang-Manu and formally opened by Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Health Mr Kingsley Aboagye-Gyedu focused on sustainable policies for effective resource allocation in Africa.
The collaborative event by iDSI and HTAi, hosted by the Ministry of Health, Ghana, addressed the difficulties that low and middle-income countries face with the attainment of Universal Health Coverage, and how these countries can navigate inconsistent and dwindling healthcare funding.
With almost 100 representatives from a range of stakeholders from around the world, the conference facilitated productive learning and networking between the delegates.
A communique from the event provides a summary of the key messages.
