Job Opportunity: Global Networks Manager (Edmonton)


Health Technology Assessment international is a growing international community for professionals who produce or use Health Technology Assessments. To support the Society’s membership and aims in accordance with its Strategic Plan, HTAi is looking for someone with partnership management expertise to lead help develop, build and manage our HTAi Global Networks. This role will contribute to the strategic planning efforts to support growth for both HTAi membership and partnership opportunities, both of which are critical to the success of the society and its events and programs.The responsibilities are varied and extend from establishing global partnerships with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, liaising with HTAi members, working with and facilitating strategic committees, and continuing to support the membership and partnership growth of the society. We are looking an out-going, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual to take on this important role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for maintaining and expanding the current HTAi partnerships with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations
  • Review existing HTAi partnership opportunities and refine as required to support the global network strategy
  • Build and manage a strong global network that is in support of HTAi programs and events.
  • Act as the main relationship manager for HTAi partners
  • Source and secure partners interested in sponsoring HTAi events and programs (e.g., Annual Meeting, Policy Forum, etc.)
  • Establish and manage a partnership database to track partnership outreach, support, and related activities across all HTAi streams
  • Develop, implement and maintain a membership growth strategy required to build the HTAi membership base
  • Act as the primary liaison for individual and organizational members
  • Manage the set-up and maintenance of the HTAi membership registration system
  • Manage activities related to resolving of membership queries for individuals and organizations
  • Manage the operations and maintenance of the HTAi partnership CRM system
  • Contribute to the development of the marketing and communication plans and assets related to partnership and membership
  • Attend industry events to promote HTAi initiatives and drive interest in current and future HTAi partnership and membership
  • Act as the primary liaison for all external-facing activities related to membership, sponsorship/partnership, etc.
  • Support the HTAi Partnership and Collaboration and the Members Review Committees
  • Ensure adequate follow-up on committee meetings
  • Work closely and collaboratively with HTAi team members across all work streams
  • Ensure a consistent flow of information between groups within the organization
  • Support with website updates and information sharing with members
  • Generate written reports as needed
  • Develop and report on key metrics that demonstrate the status and progress of membership and partnership activities
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Five or more years of relationship management or stakeholder relations experience
  • Five or more years of management experience
  • Experience developing and implementing growth strategies and plans
  • Ability to build strong relationships with members and sponsors
  • Experience with sales and marketing activities required to promote membership and sponsorship growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multiple tasks while working to deadlines as part of a structured team
  • Ability to take on responsibility and use initiative to prioritize and work effectively within the team, under pressure and adhere to firm deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving, sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Required to work independently with limited supervision
  • Experience working with committees
  • Highly professional, customer service driven with evidence of being able to communicate effectively with senior scientists, clinicians, policy makers, and leading members of the public from diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds

Preferred Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree, in health sciences, international business, or related would be an asset
  • Experience with fundraising or sponsorship management
  • Experience or knowledge of the healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, or related industry would be an asset
  • Experience working with diverse, global teams
  • Experience in a sales and/or marketing role would be an asset

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • A fast-paced environment, which can at key times be under pressure

Salary: $80,000.00 to $105,000.00 /year
