What’s New: The Latest from HTAi
Do you ever wonder if you’re missing important updates from HTAi? With so much happening in our day-to-day lives, it’s easy to miss out on key information. With that in mind, we are happy to announce the HTAi Round-up: a biweekly brief of upcoming events and items of note, wrapped in one, easy-to-find package for your convenience.
Here is what you might have missed so far:
HTAi 2020 Annual Meeting abstract deadlines are looming
If you’re planning to submit an abstract for consideration in the 2020 Annual Meeting program, you better act fast. Deadlines for Workshops and Panels end October 10; and Vignettes, Orals, or Posters must be submitted by November 21 of this year. The 2020 Annual Meeting will be held in Beijing, China, on June 20-24. Approved Vignette, Oral, and Poster abstracts will also have the possibility to be published in a Supplementary Issue of the International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care. This is an excellent opportunity to have your work recognized on an international stage, so don’t sleep on it! More information can be found on the 2020 Annual Meeting website.
Three Interest Groups are looking for Technical Officers
HTAi is still looking for dedicated and enthusiastic HTAi members willing to provide coordination support to the Chairs and Executive Committees of the following Interest Groups (IGs), on a two-year term, commencing January 1, 2020.
A total of three positions are open— one per listed Interest Group. As IG Chair(s), IG Executive Team, or IG Steering Committee(s) guide the responsibilities of the respective Technical Officer, the responsibilities may vary by Interest Group. Examples include defining agendas, setting calls and taking minutes, writing reports, supporting project work and scientific papers, drafting press releases, and other similar activities. Update on the HTAi Asia Policy Forum Consensus Statement
DIA Global Forum has published an article on the Asia Policy Forum (APF) consensus statement. In May 2019, HTAi announced the development of the first APF consensus statement on Improving Access to High-Cost Technologies in the Asia Region. The statement was the first attempt to summarize the views of all APF attendees, from the for-profit sector and not-for-profit organizations, with the aim of creating a unified voice. Last chance to review the draft 2020-2025 Strategic Plan
The active member consultation process for the 2020-2025 HTAi Strategic Plan will be coming to a close on September 29. Your thoughts are valued by the Board and Society, and member feedback is an important step in the planning process. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can do so here.
