2020 Board of Director Elections: Call for Nominations
HTAi is seeking active members of the Society for nomination to the Board of Directors. Do you know someone who would make a great Board Director? Nominate them today!
HTAi is looking for up to three (3) engaged, motivated and enthusiastic Board Directors for a three-year term between 2020 and 2023. Nominees should be prepared to:
- Chair at least one of the advisory board committees,
- Sit as a member on at least two committees or working groups,
- Travel and spend time attending two face-to-face Board meetings, and
- Carry out other duties as requested.
Experience with the following skills are preferred, but not required:
- Life sciences industry experience
- Data sciences
- Finance, budget, and accounting
- Board governance
- Business development
- Marketing and communications
The deadline for receiving nominations is Friday, April 3, 2020, 23:59 MST (GMT +7).

An update on the 2020 Annual Meeting in Beijing, China
Based on the balance of the evidence before the Board, and with the strong support of our local hosts, HTAi has determined the 2020 Annual Meeting can no longer safely proceed as planned in June; the health and safety of our stakeholders was paramount in arriving at this decision.

Postponement notice for HTAi Regional Meeting in Ukraine
Based on the evidence presented to HTAi and our local and regional partners, we have collectively determined the Regional Meeting in Kyiv, Ukraine will be postponed to September 9-10, 2020.
HTAi remains committed to offering HTA education and training that builds on regional HTA experiences and facilitates the continuous cycle to develop HTA capacity. We appreciate your support and understanding as we work to fulfill this commitment in a responsible manner.

Submit Expression of Interest: Co-Chair for the HTA Glossary Steering Committee
HTAi is now accepting expressions of interest for the position of Co-Chair of the HTA Glossary Steering Committee (GSC). The glossary is a multi-language, web-based directory that defines the terms specifically used in HTA. It is a joint initiative governed and financially supported by HTAi and INAHTA. The glossary is a highly accessed resource and its growth and development is supported by a number of editorial boards; one for each language.
The role of the Co-Chair, in collaboration with the Co-Chair appointed by INAHTA, is to convene the GSC and ensure appropriate oversight of the production of the HTA Glossary.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be a skilled Chair in the HTA community with an interest in international collaboration. Expressions of interest should include a CV and a few sentences describing the candidate’s interest and expertise in this area. The HTAi SDCB Committee will review candidates and consult with INAHTA about the final appointment of the Co-Chair.

Are you the next HTAi Global Policy Forum Scientific Secretary?
HTAi has announced the call for applications for the 2021 Global Policy Forum Scientific Secretary.
This position works closely with the Global Policy Forum Chair, HTAi Director Scientific Initiatives, and HTAi Secretariat in accordance with clearly documented and agreed scientific and administrative processes and timelines. The Scientific Secretary is expected to be the lead author of the Global Policy Forum background paper, the short report and/or slide deck for members, the journal paper and the panel session commentary.
The duties of the Scientific Secretary are expected to take 20-40 days dependent on expertise and scope of topic across the twelve-month period from June 2020 to June 2021. We hope to have a candidate in place prior to June 2020.
