HTAi is inviting applications for the role of Chair, Global Policy Forum (GPF) — a leadership position providing strategic direction to HTAi’s invitation-only Global Policy Forum.
The Global Policy Forum brings together senior leaders from HTA agencies, industry, and key stakeholders worldwide to explore emerging policy issues and advance high-level dialogue in health technology assessment. Working closely with the Scientific Secretary, HTAi Secretariat, and Executive Director, the Chair plays a central role in shaping the Forum’s agenda, guiding strategic discussion, and fostering meaningful, balanced engagement across stakeholder groups.
This paid, three-year appointment (with the possibility of one renewal) requires an average commitment of approximately one day per week, with peak periods around the annual Global Policy Forum meeting in late January and the HTAi Annual Meeting in June. Travel and accommodation for required meetings are fully covered.
We are seeking candidates with strong credibility across international HTA and industry networks, excellent facilitation and communication skills, and demonstrated experience working across diverse, global public and private sector environments.
Application & Selection Process
The recruitment process is coordinated by the HTAi Secretariat and follows HTAi’s approved Chair Recruitment Procedure. Applications must include:
- a brief CV (maximum two pages)
- A letter (no more than 1 page) describing why they should be considered for the position of Chair;
- Statement that if selected they will:
- Serve as Chair for three years and have capacity for the full six-year term. NOTE: this is, on average, one day per week per year (recognizing there are busier times) and includes international travel; those in full time employment should indicate that they have discussed with their employer who is supportive in principle;
- Shadow the activities of the current Chair (including attending team calls, PFOC meetings, the upcoming Policy Forum, and any other Policy Forum related meetings)
Eligible candidates will be screened, shortlisted, and invited to interview by a panel comprising HTAi leadership, Policy Forum representatives, and Secretariat members. Final appointment is made by the HTAi Board following recommendation from the interview panel. All applicants will be notified of the outcome.
