Overview
HTA guidelines support successful implementation of HTA by creating consistency and transparency in concepts, methods, processes, and use, thereby enhancing the legitimacy of the decision-making process and improving health outcomes through high-quality evidence-informed practices. To date, there has been no specific guidance for the development and successful adoption of high-quality HTA guidelines, aside from clinical guidelines.
The joint Task Force of HTAi, HTAsiaLink, and ISPOR was established to advance the development, implementation, and continual improvement of high-quality HTA guidelines that are fit for diverse contexts and decision-making needs.
Purpose
To provide practical recommendations across six core domains: setting objectives and scope, building multidisciplinary teams, stakeholder engagement, contextual content development, institutional arrangements, and guideline evaluation.
