Earlier today, during the HTAi MENA Regional Meeting in Tunis, Tunisia, HTAi President Ann Single announced that submissions for Abstracts and Participation Grants are officially open for the HTAi 2026 Annual Meeting, taking place June 6–10, 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye under the theme “HTA as a System Shaper.”

The HTAi Annual Meeting is the premier global forum for professionals dedicated to improving healthcare decision-making through Health Technology Assessment. Each year, it brings together experts, policy-makers, innovators, and practitioners from over 60 countries to discuss, debate, and shape the evolving role of HTA in strengthening health systems and improving outcomes.

HTA As A System Shaper

Health systems worldwide are at a crossroads. Recent global crises—from pandemics to climate change—have exposed inequities and tested resilience, showing that systems built for the past may not meet today’s or tomorrow’s demands. Amid these pressures, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) is stepping into a broader, strategic role. These grants help ensure that critical voices from around the world are part of the conversation—whether by presenting research, sharing expertise, or learning from the global HTA community.

Grants are funded directly by HTAi, with some generously sponsored by external partners on an unconditional basis. A limited number of grants are awarded each year, so applicants are encouraged to review the guidelines carefully to confirm eligibility.
