The HTAi Board of Directors makes important decisions that shape the organization’s future and provide critical guidance and oversight by determining and monitoring the Society’s strategic direction.
As an HTAi member, exercising your right to vote ensures you have a direct say in the leadership and future of the organization. Each member brings a unique perspective, experience, and expertise that is crucial to well-rounded decision-making, leading to a vibrant and involved community.
The HTAi 2024 Board of Directors Election
The 2024 Board of Directors Election opened on April 2, 2024 at 08:00 UTC and will close on May 2, 2024 at 23:59 UTC. The election is managed by CES, a trusted third party electoral service. CES will directly email the election ballots to all members of the Society in good standing. Votes must be submitted via the unique electronic ballot provided by CES. As per HTAi bylaws, only members with up-to-date 2024 membership fees are eligible to vote. If you have not established your 2024 membership, renew your membership today to ensure you can participate.
HTAi members are invited to cast your votes on the following positions:
- One (1) Treasurer position, with a total commitment of three (3) years; we are looking specifically for candidates with financial experience; MBA or accounting designation would be an asset
- One (1) Secretary position, with a total commitment of three (3) years; we are looking specifically for candidates with fluency in the English language, understanding of meeting procedures and experience with corporate minutes requirements.
The HTAi Board seeks to ensure that it includes the skills, experience, competencies, and attributes necessary to effectively oversee the operations and long-term strategy of the Society. At this time, the Board is seeking individuals with the following particular expertise and attributes to add to the Board:
Essential
An understanding of HTA and commitment to the HTAi Mission and Vision
- Experience in leadership and governance of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and experience with strategic planning and its execution (CEO, CFO, COO, Corporate Secretary)
- Financial experience for Treasurer
- A collaborative team player who interacts effectively with other Board members in a constructive manner
- Credibility, integrity, and high ethical standards
- Time and ability to serve on the Board with a minimum of 4 meetings per year, 1 strategic planning session, 1 orientation session, one AGM, and serving on 2 Board Committees that meet at least 4 times a year, and time and ability to chair one of the Committees
Desirable
- Experience in membership & sponsorship engagement, recruitment, and retention, promoting the HTAi activities and areas of knowledge in the regions
- Experience in business innovation and development of growth strategies
- Marketing and communications expertise
- MBA or accounting designation and experience
