The HTAi Board of Directors and its Nominating & Elections Committee have closed recruitment of members in good standing to join the Board.
The 2026 Board seeks to fill the following positions and terms:
- Three (3) positions of Director with a term of three years (2026-2029). These positions are eligible for re-election to a total of six (6) years of service.
As a Board member, you will be expected to play a central role in guiding the strategies to meet the overall mission of HTAi, to support and promote the production, understanding, and use of health technology assessment that strengthens decision-making and improves health systems worldwide. HTAi actively maintains a Board that reflects the breadth of our global community, and we always strive to strengthen the range of voices and experiences represented. HTAi’s work is shaped by contributions from every region and from people involved in HTA, policy, research, patient and public involvement, and related fields. We welcome applications from across this wide community so that our governance continues to mirror the diversity and richness of the international HTA ecosystem.
The Board are seeking individuals with the following particular expertise and attributes to add to the Board:
Essential
- An understanding of HTA and commitment to the HTAi Mission and Vision
- Experience in leadership and governance of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations and experience with strategic planning and its execution
- A collaborative team player who interacts effectively with other Board members in a constructive manner
- Credibility, integrity, and high ethical standards
- Time and ability to serve on the Board with a minimum of 4 meetings per year, 2 strategic planning sessions, 1 orientation session, one AGM, and serving on 2 Board Committees that meet at least 4 times a year, and time and ability to chair one of the Committees.
Desirable
- Experience in business innovation, fundraising, and strategic development.
- Background in a HTA agency or academia
- Resides in North America, Central and South America, Africa, or Asia.
- If the candidate has experience in membership & sponsorship engagement, recruitment and retention, or legal expertise (LL.B. or equivalent), it may be considered an additional asset.

- Letter providing an overview of your experience and qualifications relating to the Board of Directors Criteria and Core Competencies (maximum of two pages).
- Two (2) emails in pdf format from two (2) Society Members in good standing in support of your application.

Members interested in submitting a nomination package must also review, and be prepared to sign, the Consent to Serve as Director form should they be elected. Nominations are open at 08:00 MST on Friday, February 6, 2026, and close at 23:59 MST on Friday, February 20, 2026.
