The Disinvestment & Early Awareness Interest Group (DEA-IG) is currently accepting expressions of interest from those wishing to join the Steering Committee. All candidates must use the attached form to submit their motivation, a short bio, and suggestions for initiatives or activities for the IG that you wish to implement.
Steering Committee responsibilities
- Prepare and conduct two (2) events a year (webinar or in-person preconference workshop).
- Set up Interest Group and Steering Committee meetings and event/webinar schedule and adhere to it.
- At least twice a year, report to the members of the Interest Group of the current and forthcoming activities.
- Yearly conduct the Annual Business Meeting of the Interest Group.
- Yearly conduct the Technical Officer evaluation and make a decision to extend the contract or hire a new Technical Officer.
- Complete the evaluation of Co-Chairs at the end of each term.
- Review the Terms of Reference of the Interest Group every three (3) years and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors.
- Twice a year submit the material for the HTAi newsletter.
- Develop a work plan that aligns with the objectives of the Society’s Strategic Plan and adhere to it.
Term
Applicants should be able to commit to the role for one term (3 years, 2025-2028). Please consult the DEA webpage for more information and details on the Interest Group and its terms of reference here. Expressions of Interest will be accepted until February 28, 2025. All members of DEA are entitled to become member of the Steering Committee.
