◤ HTAi 2025 Annual Meeting Registration is now open!
The 2025 HTAi Annual Meeting will will take place June 14-18, 2025, in the incredible city of Buenos Aires. The program will focus on topics related to the central theme, NextGen Evidence: Diversifying and Advancing HTA to Meet Global Demands. Presentations will feature dynamic discussions on critical, forward-looking topics that shape the future of HTA.

PCIG PASS Program Accepting Applications
HTAi’s Patient and Citizen Involvement in HTA Interest Group (PCIG) offers the PCIG PASS to support patients, carers and patient representatives attend HTAi Annual Meeting and pre-meeting workshops who would be otherwise unable to take part.
Applications are due by March 13, 2025.

The Disinvestment & Early Awareness Interest Group (DEA-IG) is currently accepting expressions of interest from those wishing to join the Steering Committee. All candidates must use the attached form to submit their motivation, a short bio, and suggestions for initiatives or activities for the IG that you wish to implement.
HTAi MDIG Seeks Technical Officer
Are you new to HTA? Are you interested in connecting with the global HTA community? An extraordinary opportunity awaits you. Become a vital part of HTAi’s Interest Groups— apply to become an Interest Group Technical Officer!
The Medical Devices Interest Group (MDIG) is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is willing to provide one to two days a month to support its Co-Chairs and Steering Committee as a Technical Officer (TO), until December 2025 (subject to a positive evaluation by the IG Chairs, the contract may be extended for additional 12 months).
Examples of responsibilities include defining agendas, setting calls and taking minutes, writing reports, supporting project work and scientific papers, drafting press releases and other similar activities.

◤ HTAi Interest Group Feature: Information Retrieval Interest Group
HTAi Interest Groups (IGs) serve as vibrant professional and scientific communities that unite individuals from healthcare, business, government, academia, and consulting, all committed to advancing HTA. Open to all HTAi members, these groups provide a valuable platform for networking, sharing insights, and collaborating on initiatives that shape the future of HTA.
The HTAi Information Retrieval Group (IRG) is an Interest Group for individuals who provide information resources, discuss literature search methodology and investigate technologies appropriate to HTA work. The IRG invites members working in a wide variety of capacities to support informed decision making by exchanging information and sharing expertise for advancing processes, methodology and information retrieval tools.

◤ HTAi 2025 Asia Policy Forum
The Asia Policy Forum brings the HTAi Board of Directors, international experts, industry & patient representatives, academia, and other stakeholders together for strategic, innovative, and open discussions about HTA with specific relevance to the region.
The 2025 Asia Policy Forum will take place in Penang, Malaysia, November 5-7, 2025. Discussions will centre around the topic, “Societal Perspective: Why it should matter.”
◤ HTAi Webinar | Why do we need a New Paradigm for Evidence Generation and Assessment in Rare Disease Technologies?
This multi-stakeholder webinar will explore challenges in evidence generation for rare disease technologies (RDTs) and the impacts this has for assessment in HTA, and how to overcome it. It will present results from a recent survey of evidence assessment frameworks for RDTs and insights from an international patient expert leading evidence generation and who is an HTA scientific advice patient expert. Discussants will present activities underway to develop new approaches to evidence assessment in range of initiatives relevant to healthcare decision-making, in dialogue with an HTA body representative considering relevance to HTA.

- Utrecht University: PhD in Health Technology Assessment
Expenditures on oncology drugs are sharply rising due to the introduction of many new/innovative drugs and high drug prices. There are doubts about whether these treatments and associated costs always benefit patients and healthcare systems. An important question is whether an HTA lifecycle approach could contribute to better decision-making and more controlled and efficient/affordable access to and use of oncology drugs. This would fit with a national wish to focus more on lifecycle HTA for insured care to contribute to appropriate care.
