◤ Announcing Co-Leads for the Community of Practice on the use of AI for HTA Activities
In July last year, a Community of Practice (CoP) on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for HTA activities was established within HTAi, following discussions initiated at the 2025 Global Policy Forum on this topic.
After the necessary governance arrangements were put in place, we are now pleased to announce that Seye Abogunrin and Timothy Reason have been elected as Co-Leads of this new initiative.
The CoP aims to connect Interest Groups, Global Policy Forum members, and HTAi members to advance the responsible and equitable use of AI in HTA activities, from evidence synthesis to health economic modelling and beyond.
The list of expected deliverables is ambitious and includes knowledge products such as methodological guidance, validation protocols, a case studies repository, tutorials, webinars, and workshops, as well as peer-learning sessions led by experts, policy briefs, white papers, journal articles, and conference materials to support HTA policy and advocacy.
Congratulations to Seye and Tim! We look forward to the progress the CoP will make under their leadership.

The session features the premiere of the video, which tackles the concepts of HTA and public health and explores how these two areas intersect to improve health outcomes and inform decision-making. The launch of the video, realized by the HTAi Public Health Interest Group thanks to the funds granted with the second funding call of 2024, is preceded by an opening speech on public health priorities and challenges and the potential role of HTA.
A panel of international experts from associations and societies dealing with public health then discuss the position of HTA within public health systems and the importance of collaboration between these fields. Through this conversation, participants will gain insights into the impact of HTA on public health and why this integration is more relevant than ever today.
