News from the HTAi 2024 Annual Meeting
Registration is OPEN!
The HTAi 2024 Annual Meeting will introduce hundreds of presentations over five days to promote the development, understanding, and use of HTA around the world as a means of fostering innovation and effective use of resources in health care. The presentations include a keynote presentation and three plenaries that will explore various aspects of the event’s overall theme, A Turning Point for HTA? Sustainability, Networks, and Innovation. This year, the HTAi Annual Meeting offers a distinctive blend of engagement and interaction that caters to both virtual and in-person attendees. Whether you’re on-site or online, your Annual Meeting experience will be filled with dynamic scientific discussions and valuable networking opportunities for all participants!
The HTAi Annual Meeting is open to all HTA collaborators and contributors. While membership to HTAi is not a pre-requisite to attending the Annual Meeting, all active HTAi members enjoy a reduced registration rate in addition to the unparalleled opportunities membership provides.
Additionally, tickets for social events, such as the conference dinner, and pre-registration for Workshops, can be completed during the registration process. Further registration information is available on the HTAi Annual Meeting website.

Organizational memberships provide access to all of the exceptional Society benefits to ten (10) organizational representatives. Additionally, organizational memberships for universities extend Society benefits to ten (10) organizational representatives, as well as an UNLIMITED number of students affiliated with the university. HTAi memberships are valid from January 1 to December 31 each year. Your 2023 membership is now expired; renew your membership now to continue participating in HTAi activities, including Interest Groups and committees, award nominations, and voting in elections. Membership renewal portals are open, and personalized renewal notices have been sent to all 2023 members. Please check your inbox for a renewal notice, which includes instructions and a direct link to facilitate the process. Board Nominations Opening February 8!
The HTAi Board of Directors makes important decisions that shape the organization’s future and provide critical guidance and oversight by determining and monitoring the Society’s strategic direction.
On February 8, 2024, the HTAi Board of Directors and its Nominating Committee will open nominations for members in good standing to fill the following positions and terms:
- One (1) Treasurer position, with a total commitment of three (3) years; this position requires business acumen, MBA or accounting designation
- One (1) Secretary position, with a total commitment of three (3) years; this position requires fluency in the English language, understanding of meeting procedures and experience with corporate minutes requirements.
The HTAi Board seeks to ensure that it includes the skills, experience, competencies, and attributes necessary to effectively oversee the operations and long-term strategy of the Society. To view the full list of requirements, click the button below.

Updates from the HTAi Policy Fora
Global Policy Forum
The HTAi 2024 Global Policy Forum will take place January 27-29,2024, in San Diego, USA. The meeting will centre around the 2024 Background Paper, “Designing Collaborations Involving HTA: Finding The Rhythm for Success”. Read the background paper here.
The HTAi Global Policy Forum provides a unique environment for senior representatives from public and private sector organizations to engage in strategic discussions about the present state of HTA, its development and its implications for health care systems, industry, patients and other stakeholders. The Forum’s environment enables perspectives of their different organizations without the constraints associated with discussions of specific products or organizational policies. Asia Policy Forum
The 2024 Asia Policy Forum is taking place November 6-8, 2024 in Seoul, South Korea. Discussions will include the topic, “Collaboration: Building Bridges in HTA”.
The Asia Policy Forum echoes that of the HTAi Global Policy Forum and provides a unique opportunity as a leadership meeting for senior representatives from public and private sector organizations using HTA from the Asia Pacific region. Learn more about the Asia Policy Forum here.
Latin America Policy Forum
The 2024 Latin America Policy Forum will take place August 11-13, 2024, in Cartagena, Colombia. Discussions will revolve around the central theme, “Navigating the Future: Horizon Scanning and Early Dialogue in HTA”.
The Latin America Policy Forum format echoes that of the HTAi Global Policy Forum and Asia Policy Forum, providing a unique opportunity for senior HTA representatives from public and private sector organizations in the Latin America region to meet annually.
