This year marks a special milestone for our community as HTAi recognizes 50 years of HTA! We have special activities and events planned throughout the year to honour the journey and achievements.
This year also brings the 20th anniversary of the HTAi Global Policy Forum—an event that continues to shape the future of HTA on a global scale. The 2025 Global Policy Forum will be held January 26-28, 2025, in Cascais, Portugal. Learn more about the Global Policy Forum here.

◤ HTAi Policy Forum Organizing Committees open calls for members
HTAi Policy Forums are seeking members to fill vacancies on the Global, Asia, and Latin America Policy Forum Organizing Committees:
- The Latin America Policy Forum Organizing Committee has opened a call for nominations to fill one (1) For-Profit and one (1) Not-for-Profit vacancy.
- The Asia Policy Forum Organizing Committee has opened a call for nominations to fill one (1) Not-For-Profit vacancy.
- The Global Policy Forum Organizing Committee has opened a call for nominations to fill one (1) For-Profit vacancy.
Please send nominations by email to the Policy Forum team no later than Wednesday, January 8, 2025, indicating the intended Organizing Committee.

Renew your HTAi membership today and stay connected to our global community advancing HTA! All 2024 memberships expired on December 31, 2024. Renewal notices with detailed instructions were sent to current members and organizational representatives toward the end of 2024. ◤ Prepare your nominations for the 2025 Board of Directors Election
In February 2025, HTAi will begin accepting nominations from members in good standing to join our Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of HTAi and contribute to advancing HTA worldwide.
The Board will be seeking to fill one Vice President position (2025–2031 term) and four Director positions (2025–2028 term). HTAi is dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive Board that reflects the global membership we serve, valuing a wide range of skills, experiences, and perspectives.
If you’re interested in joining the HTAi Board, now is the time to start preparing your nomination— review your professional achievements, identify references, and be ready to submit once nominations open in February.

◤ HTAi Interest Group Feature: Real World Evidence and Artificial Intelligence Interest Group
HTAi Interest Groups (IGs) serve as vibrant professional and scientific communities that unite individuals from healthcare, business, government, academia, and consulting, all committed to advancing HTA. Open to all HTAi members, these groups provide a valuable platform for networking, sharing insights, and collaborating on initiatives that shape the future of HTA.
The HTAi Interest Group for Real World Evidence and Artificial Intelligence (RWE-AI) gathers HTAi members interested in the generation and use of real world evidence and/or artificial intelligence for HTA. It provides an environment for education and training, communication and knowledge sharing, capacity building and collaboration.

◤ Just Published: New Report from the HTAi, HTAsiaLink, and ISPOR Special Task Force
A report from the HTAi-HTAsiaLink-ISPOR Joint Task Force on Deliberative Processes for HTA has been published in the International Journal for Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC). The report focuses on HTA guidelines that are developed at the national, sub-national, or cross-country level, and aims to highlight when different approaches may be appropriate for individual contexts and stages of HTA development.
