Phishing Attacks and Cyber Security

The beginning of a new year offers an important opportunity to enhance your cyber security awareness. While phishing attempts happen year-round, some trends suggest that cybercriminals might exploit the post-holiday season when people are returning to work, adjusting to new schedules, or managing a backlog of emails.

HTAi would like to remind you to be cautious of any emails or phishing attempts that falsely claim to be from HTAi Board and Secretariat members. These deceptive emails may request sensitive information, involve unusual requests, or originate from questionable email addresses. Please be advised that our organization will never solicit sensitive information or initiate any unusual requests via email outside of our official communication channels. Official communication channels can include the following:

        • HTAi branded emails from official HTAi email accounts
        • Direct messages from our membership and events platform, EventsAir
        • Direct messages in our Annual Meeting event app
Stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to ensure your online safety
If you receive any suspicious emails that claim to be from HTAi Board members or the Secretariat, we kindly request that you mark them as spam and refrain from responding or providing any information. If you are unsure whether or not an email is suspicious, please capture a screenshot of the email and send the image to [email protected] to verify its authenticity. For further support on identifying and blocking fraudulent emails or phishing attempts, please consult your email service provider and/or the links below.

Our priority is to ensure the safety and security of our organization and its members. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the integrity of our communication channels.
