Program Spotlight: Plenary Two

The Plenary program is intentionally structured as a journey, moving from vision to action to implementation. This week, we’re highlighting the beginning of the journey with Plenary Two.

Plenary Two | From Evidence To Impact: HTA Driving Changes In Systems
Plenary Two focuses on what is already happening. Through concrete examples from both established HTA systems and emerging contexts, this session highlights measurable, real-world impact: changes in policy, access, prioritization, collaboration, and system design. The emphasis is on outcomes: what shifted, who benefited, and what lessons can be transferred across settings.

◤ HTAi Hospital-Based HTA Interest Group integrates AdHopHTA Project’s resources

The HTAi Hospital-Based HTA Interest Group (HB-HTA IG) has integrated the AdHopHTA Project’s resources into the HTAi global platform.

The Adopting Hospital-Based Health Technology Assessment in the EU (AdHopHTA) Project was a pioneering EU FP7-funded initiative that strengthened the use and impact of high-quality HTA in hospital settings across Europe (for more details on the project: https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/305018).

AdHopHTA developed practical tools and guidance to help hospitals adopt HTA approaches tailored to managerial decision-making, including a best practice handbook, a deployment toolkit, and a repository of HB-HTA products.

By integrating the AdHopHTA website and outputs into the HTAi web platform, HTAi is helping to preserve and disseminate this foundational work for the global HB-HTA community and for decision-makers seeking robust methods to assess new technologies “in” and “for” hospitals.

Members and readers can now access AdHopHTA materials directly via the HTAi website, where they will sit alongside other HTAi resources and initiatives on hospital-based HTA.
