Shaping the future of HTA together
We are pleased to share the summary document from the HTAi Global Policy Forum (GPF), which convened in January 2026 to explore key challenges and opportunities facing the HTA community.
Through discussion and collaboration, participants identified eight strategic, policy, and system-level issues that will require collective attention from the global HTA community in the years ahead. The summary highlights important themes and emerging priorities from these conversations and reflects the continued commitment of the HTAi community to advancing dialogue and collaboration across health systems worldwide.
From Plenary to Publication: HTAi Annual Meeting Research Featured in IJTAHC
A major milestone for HTAi’s Annual Meeting scientific program has just been achieved with the publication of Rethinking the Role of Health Technology Assessment: From Gatekeeper to Health System Shaper in the International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC). As the first article to emerge from the 2025 plenary sessions — and the first official publication developed directly under the guidance of the Annual Meeting Program Team — the paper represents an exciting evolution in how HTAi is capturing and extending the impact of conference discussions beyond the meeting itself. The achievement reflects a strong collaborative effort.

Did You Know? Planning Your Time in Istanbul
Visitors to Istanbul may notice that security screening at hotels, venues, shopping centres, and event spaces is a normal and routine part of daily life throughout the city. These brief screening checkpoints are common at many large public venues and are designed to help ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
The HTAi 2026 Annual Meeting venues will have similar procedures in place. Screenings are typically quick and straightforward, though we recommend allowing a little extra time when arriving for sessions and events, particularly during busier periods such as the first day of workshops, the Welcome Reception, the opening day of the main program, and the Conference Dinner.
Arriving a few minutes early will help ensure a smooth and relaxed start to your day so you can fully enjoy your experience.
