◤HTAi Award Submission Deadline Approaching

HTAi is accepting submissions for the prestigious David Banta Award, as well as the Sigrid Droste Ethics Award until December 15, 2024.

The David Banta Award

The David Banta Award honors individuals who have made exceptional, long-lasting contributions to HTA over 25 years, impacting at least five countries. Named in honor of Dr. David Banta, a pioneer in the field of HTA, the award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated significant leadership, advanced HTA science and methodology, and supported evidence-based decision-making in health systems. Due to its prestige, this award is not given every year.

The Sigrid Droste Award

The Sigrid Droste Award was established in memory of Sigrid Droste to recognize Society members in good standing who are making or have made important contributions in ethics in HTA. Sigrid’s background and personal experience as a chronically ill individual granted her access to the existing challenges translating evidence into everyday patient care, and led her to develop a strong focus on the ethics of HTA. The Award will only be given in years when a suitable nominee(s) fulfills the Award’s eligibility criteria and is nominated by an HTAi member in good standing.
