Assessment of Vaccination Programs
HTAi Interest Group for Assessment of Vaccination Programs
The Interest Group (IG) for Assessment of Vaccination Programs (AVP) brings together all stakeholders in HTAi to explore optimal ways to assess vaccination programs. We are keen to go beyond clinical and cost effectiveness to understand organisational, social, legal and ethical issues to inform organisations of vaccination programs that will ensure maximal uptake of effective vaccines and lead to prevention of disease.
The IG on Assessment of Vaccination Programs considers HTA in its broadest sense, with modelling to decide optimal choice of populations to receive vaccinations alongside consideration to other issues that could promote or limit uptake. It gathers existing information about vaccines assessment to understand existing practices, variations in approaches and potential areas for improvement. It will draw on expertise from other HTAi IGs to encourage broader assessment and link internationally with policy groups that assess vaccines.
