The challenges shaping health technology assessment (HTA) and health systems can look different from one organization to another. HTAi’s Global Policy Forum brings those perspectives together for open, constructive discussion.
HTAi invites for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to express interest in participating in the 2027 Global Policy Forum (GPF).
For more than two decades, HTAi’s Policy Forums have brought senior leaders from HTA bodies and organizations developing health technologies together to explore shared policy challenges. Participants meet in person each year and remain connected through topic development, the Background Paper and other activities. Over time, that continuity allows discussions to develop and relationships to deepen.
The 2027 Global Policy Forum will take place January 24–26, 2027, in Malta. Its theme is “Positioning HTA for Long-Term Health System Transformation – From Assessing Technologies to Shaping Innovation, Enabling Implementation and Strengthening HTA’s Legitimacy.”
What participation offers
- Attendance for two senior representatives at the annual meeting
- Opportunities to contribute to Forum discussions and activities throughout the year
- Engagement with senior representatives from HTA bodies, industry and other organizations
- Recognition in relevant HTAi publications, reports and on the HTAi website
Selected organizations are expected to attend the 2027 meeting, participate for at least three years and hold HTAi organizational membership. If needed, organizational membership can be added to the agreement and invoice.

How to express your interest
Submit your expression of interest through HTAi’s Registration of Interest form by Monday, October 12, 2026. Identify your interest in 2027 Global Policy Forum participation and indicate whether your organization is for-profit or not-for-profit.
Please include:
- Confirmation of HTAi organizational membership, or a request to add it to the agreement and invoice
- A brief organizational profile highlighting HTA-related activities
- Your reasons for seeking GPF participation and the contributions you expect to make
- Brief biographies of your proposed representatives
- Confirmation that your organization is willing to participate for at least three years and pay the applicable annual fees
