Dec 5, 2025

Call for Expressions of Interest HTAi 2027 Annual Meeting (8)

Looking to deepen your engagement with the HTA community? HTAi’s Interest Groups are recruiting new Technical Officers—an opportunity to contribute, collaborate, and support work that advances key areas of HTA. Whether you’re newer to the field or already well-established, this is a meaningful way to connect with peers from around the world. Become a vital part of HTAi’s Interest Groups (IG) — apply to become a Technical Officer!

Six HTAi IGs are opening a call for applications for their 2026 Technical Officers. The Ethics in HTA, Hospital-Based HTA, HTA in Developing Countries, Medical Devices, Patient & Citizen Involvement, and the Real World Evidence & Artificial Intelligence IGs are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support their Chairs and Steering Committee. Typical tasks and responsibilities include setting up meetings, taking minutes, writing reports, supporting project work and scientific papers, drafting press releases and other similar activities.

Technical Officers will be contracted with HTAi for 12 months (Jan-Dec 2026) and receive a total remuneration of $2,000 CAD plus other benefits

About the HTAi IGs:

Ethics in HTA IG brings together those involved in HTA (including staff from HTA bodies, industry, government, academia, and patients and citizens) who have an interest in the explicit and formal identification and analysis of ethical issues pertaining to HTA.

Hospital-based HTA IG gathers professionals interested or involved in the use of an HTA logic at healthcare institutions for supporting both managerial and clinical decision-making processes.

HTA in Developing Countries IG aims to connect members interested in the early implementation of HTA in their countries. It aims to share experiences, activities, resources, and opportunities for education and training, and stimulate discussion about new ideas, needs, challenges, and solutions where HTA is in early development or adoption.

Medical Devices IG aims to ensure that best practices in HTA of medical nondrug technologies are shared, providing a space for all stakeholders to discuss the strengths, weaknesses, challenges, and opportunities of introducing medical device innovation into healthcare systems, with the goal of increasing patient outcomes and lowering system costs.

Patient & Citizen Involvement IG aims to promote and to develop robust methodologies to incorporate these perspectives into HTAs and share best practices in participation in HTA. This includes co-developing recommendations for good practice  and promoting consistent terminology to aid understanding and research.

Real World Evidence & Artificial Intelligence IG was established to serve as a discussion forum where members can provide insights, exchange ideas, and make collective decisions about subjects related to the RWE and artificial intelligence (AI).
